Same old Liefeld: most of the characters look the same to me, and most of the layouts... reminiscent, somehow ;) I must say I like it, though. I was jus' a youngster when Rob took over New Mutants back in the day, and I'm glad to see him back in the saddle. Huh: I guess I'm a Liefeld fan:)

GAH!

I'm a Cannonball fan and a Boom-Boom (Meltdown) fan, and I also like the other original New Mutants like Sunspot and the newer ones like Rictor, so I might eventually check it out anyway.
Of course, Cable, Domino, and Shatterstar are three of the LEAST interesting characters ever.

Oh god I hate Liefeld. And it's not some jealous fanboy "I wish I had half his talent so I'll rag on him to prove my superiority" thing. He's the artistic equivalent of toe-cheese.

At least he's not writing it too. Liefeld's writing makes the baby Jesus cry.

I can say one nice thing about him. At the height of Image, in that first year or so, all the Image creators did a mammoth signing at Wondercon in Oakland. The line went on for hours, and in the afternoon he apparently had somewhere he had to go. He actually went through the line on his way out signing peoples' comics. He was much nicer than MacFarlane and Lee, who couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact with you let alone say hi.

Erik Larsen was cool too (another guy I wasn't there to see), but then he's a local boy.

ROFL! I ought not to read stuff like that at work, as people look at me funny when I guffaw for no apparent reason.

I actually kinda like his penciling style in moderation.
