Hmm... I think that Mark tries to add utility instead of 'original' content. Something can be said for doing that, if people are willing to pay for utility, why shouldn't Mark try to earn money from it? Phil on the other hand earns money thru mostly 'original' content (almost all OGL publishers use content from or derived from the SRD)

But I also love to take OGC and play with it. For example, Fantasy Player's Companion: Core Class Variants takes the idea of class variants and presents 11 new variants. These aren't the ones found in the original source -- and those aren't in here at all -- but entirely new variants.

That's one of the ways I find OGC most valuable to me.
