Living in a European City for 3 months

I'd consider London or Amsterdam, but I'm not really interested in going anywhere any time soon.

Most European countries allow a stay up to 90 days without a visa for US citizens. I think the UK allows up to 180 days for US passport holders.

That's a wonderful city, too. I've got a friend who decided to move there after a visit :D.

I'd also go with London and Amsterdam, myself. London has countless options for culture and shopping, although it's very expensive. Amsterdam is a very liberal city, which may or may not appeal to you. Paris is absolutely fascinating, but only if you can speak French; the culture and food are worth it, anyway ;). Barcelona is very nice for springtime, but it may not be quite in the same league.

Actually, the question is a bit hard to answer if you don't give more specifics about your interests. There are hundreds of cities that are worth spending three months in.

The French may not be fond of our government, but they're generally very fond of Americans.
Half of the French are also not fond of their own government. :D Complaining about governments is a French attitude. :p

Besides Paris, don't forget Vienna, Amsterdam, and Prague. London is interesting too... (On the other hand, you can forever forget about Roubaix... :p However, you may use the name in your homebrew for a NE evil city of ultimate gray dullness...)

I don't really have interests beyond art/architecture/history in general. I just would like to move around, have a job that lets me, and would like to experience different places/cultures.

Barcelona... hrm perhaps Spain.

I love it. It's clean, safe, has a lot of history (and cool old buildings because of it), the people are mostly friendly, there are always tourists and other foreigners around (I really like interacting with people from elsewhere), it's big enough that I can get/do almost anything I want (that can be had/done in a city), and the climate and weather isn't half bad either.

So I've got Wales, Paris, London, Budapest, and Munich. Anyone have opinions of Vienna?

Wales isn't a city. He mentioned Bangor. If you do consider Wales, I'ld recommend either the the very North or the very South, so its somewhere with a half decent road link to civilization in case you want to see something other than sheep and hills. In certain parts they will speak Welsh, just to annoy you.

The big question is why are you coming and why only one city?
