Rybear- [sblock=Create object follow-up from Kenson]
Create Objects has a clause that indicates it can't have any moving parts more complicated than a hinge. I have a player who wants to use hers to make tools on occasion, including fairly fussy ones like electronic tools. This lead to three questions:

1. Will the Precise Feat do this?

2. If not, what would be needed?

3. Also if not, what _does_ Precise actually do for you?

1. Will the Precise Feat do this?

I'd certainly say it would allow for more complex moving parts and more fine detail. Dunno if I'd go so far a creating any sort of equipment; that seems more like an extra to me, at least.

2. If not, what would be needed?

Depends on what you mean by "tools," I suppose. If the character is just making tools for use with various skills then a power feat is probably sufficient. If the player wants the character to create any sort of electronic or mechanical device, that's a considerably more effective and involved power.

For something like that, I'd suggest at least a +2 modifier on Create Object, using powers like Shapeshift as a guideline: that is, the player gets 5 points per Create Object rank for assigning the traits of the object like a temporary Device and these points can be split among multiple items.

BRONT- is it too late to change my Gremlin character around. After reading through Kenson's comments I really don't like how I've built luck control.

As Gremlin have never been into action, I don't see why you couldn't. It would be just like retiring it and then creating another of same power that looks like him :P

How I see the create object is you can create object like a wall, a door, a bridge, a dome, a ball... pretty basic.

With the rpecise feat, you could create the Venus of Milo.

When it come to create object that mimic powers, now I don't think it would apply. It wasn't the meaning of that power. The extra could be fine.

If Rybear want to create an object, he could spend a HP or via extra effort (I don't remember which) and gain a power feat. In that case, it could be Device. I think it would be a reasonnable use of Create Object.

No problem. You can even scrap him if you want, as I hadn't approved him yet.

After playing a game with a Luck Control and Probability Control character, I can attest that it is both a blast, and that Probability Control is very well balanced.

FYI, if anyone is interested, I've decided to try to write a little on Gun Monkey. I've stuck it in the story hour forum (here) even though it's more just creative writing. I hope to get a first episode bit done over the weekend.
