Looks at the Damaging Object rules, p.166-167 of the book. Quickly, it tells:
Object have toughness (or seldom named hardness) like characters. Roll for damage using there toughness:
If the object is injured: -1 to further toughness
If the object is disabled: The object no longuer function.
If the object is dying: Take a broom to gather the pieces, it's destoryed!
But in teh case of a robot, you can either see it as an object or a minion. If you play with the robot template (p.235) or something very similar, consider it as a minion and just don't bother with his robotic nature. He is a minion and act as a minion.
If you still hesitate, send me the stats of your robot and I'll tell you what exactly they are (object or minion), but most likely, they will be minion.
