Isn't Alien not acceptable as a power source? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Do they mean that just being an alien doesn't give you powers? You can't be Martian Manhunter who has powers because he is an alien, but you can be a Green Lantern who is a guy that aliens have given a device to. Griff just happens to have had some aliens zap him with a power ray. Not too much different from GL.

Hawkeye, don't forget to e-mail me when you're ready for approval. It might help if you removed some of the extra formatting and notes (no need to note power extras when you don't have any, etc)

The Paragon is correct I believe, but I'll run your numbers anyway to make sure one you say so.

I hope to have something ready for you today.

Read the campaign background, but basicly, alien is a no-no, but just about everything else is ok.

When Living Super have been created, there had been a lot of discussion on how the world would be. There was some people who wanted to have a lot of restiction to have a world that is more structurate. There is other that wanted to be as open to anything as possible and leave as freedom as possible for teh character creation.

Finally, it has been decided that it would be an in-between, but with tendency on freedom. There is very few restriction, but the major one on the source of your power is that there would be no alien source. A meteor have beenn the source of all the aparition of the supers, but all supers are from earth and there is no alien srouce, even if you could tell that the meteor is some kind of alien source.

Yes, but my character isn't an alien, just given powers by some. That is all right isn't it?

Just change it so that your character got powers from the (alien) Millenium Comet.

I think it might be a little ways off, but are we planning on eventually introducing alien races? It would be nice to open things up a little down the road.

Hawkeye- You don't have to have the powers derive from the comet itself. They could come from some mysterious object Griff found (maybe he was bathed in a "mysterious light"). Eventually, if we allow alien races maybe it can be worked in, but for now he doesn't know the origin of the artifact (or his power). I haven't looked hard enough at your origin to offer anything too good, because I stopped when I saw the alien angle. I thought I'd try to offer some leeway in case the alien explanation is allowed in the future. Welcome to LS. :D

The commet has never been described as alien. As at the moment, the existance of life outside of the planet earth has been undecided and unaproached by any game, so we're going to keep with that.

I think that makes sense. Alien forces can be a bit problematic, as evidenced by some zaniness in actual comics when aliens get involved.

Yup, it keeps the scope of things narrow enough to deal with.
