As a shock to no one, Charlie's Angels was cancelled after only 4 episodes. Reportedly, they are still going to air the episodes that were already filmed (not sure how many that is).

I can't believe I'm going to say this but... those girls need a sammich, big time. They need to get Maggie Q (Nikita), Rachel Taylor & Annie Ilonzeh into an all you can eat buffet, stat! Minka's seems like the only one not throwing up in the toilet after every meal.

Regardless, the series was sheer crap from the get go. I was surprised it was cancelled but only because I expected the girls to be a driving force; yay American audiences!

With those dialogs and that acting, the only way they could keep people would be if they turned the show into a lesbian prôn. The girls may have been good-looking, but that just doesn't carry 43 minutes of bad dialog mixed in with commercials (you can probably see just as good looking women in the commercials, with better dialog!).

AFAIK, American Horror Story has only 4 episodes.
Oh. Well, than the pacing should work out just fine.
The family already
wants to sell the house. Or at least the wife.

I've enjoyed Revenge so far. Feels like it was inspired by Veronica Mars in many ways.
Mentioning Veronica Mars convinced me to check it out. Thanks for the tip, by the way. It looks interesting indeed (even if the lead actress is not Kristen Bell).
I now missed the first two episodes, unfortunately. But no matter, seems still easy enough to get into it.

Watched the premiere of the revived "Beavis and Butthead" yesterday.

It's almost identical to the original version, but now with references to reality tv shows like Jersey Shore.

Beavis is back to saying "fire fire fire" repeatedly.

Oooh. I may have to find a way to check it. Beavis and Butthead were (strangely) a formational TV show for me. Funny how little things those two dweebs said pop up randomly in conversations at a game table out of the blue still today.

To which I am completely oblivious.

I seem to fundamentally not comprehend the humour in shows like that and South Park, Napoleon Dynamite and a bunch of others that get referred to by the under 30 crowd. I've tried to like them, but I just sit there and wonder why any of it is even remotely humorous.

Then I make a 70's, 80's or 90's pop-culture reference and everyone at the table blinks and wonders what drugs I'm on. I really need to game more with people my own age, sigh.

I'm 38, the people I game with are in their 40s and 30s. It aired in the mid 90s ('93-'97), I was in college some of those years. If you are dropping 90s pop culture references, this show should be in your wheelhouse!

I guess I just travelled in different circles. I don't recall even knowing about B&B in the 90's. Actually, now that I think about it, I spent most of the 90's selling and taking drugs and only had a 9" B&W TV for the latter half of them and only recall ever watching Northern Exposure and the X-Files.

So I suppose you have to be educated to understand the humour in Beavis & Butthead.
