I just unlocked the last difficulty level on Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. I'm about halfway through, and I never would have gotten this far without the shotgun.
How is that, anyway? I've been curious about it ever since I heard of it, but I didn't even notice that it had come out yet, sadly. :heh:

Well, to put it simply, it's a Half-Life'ish run through a tube. Which in itself would already make it a pretty good game. Except it also has more atmosphere than, well, any other game ever. The graphics could be described as outdated, but beautiful (not that that's really a word that fits a game inspired by Lovecraft). The real kicker is the insanity system. Paranoia makes the screen blur (don't look down), examining mythos stuff makes you go insane (so try not to look at the cool looking Shoggots), running makes your heart beat faster, etc. The puzzles are very hard, but logical (I was kicking myself several times afterwards). In other words, it's a really cool game if you don't mind getting frustrated by the difficulty now and then.

Do you always keep an ape chained in the truck bed? I thought this was illegal (except in South Carolina of course).

Nah, you're thinking about the law where it's illegal to chain a Yankee in a truck bed in Cary. ;)

If we get annexed by them I'm working to have that law overturned. ;)
