Looking for neat magical items for a bard

First Post
I'm working up a bard type for my own amusement. And combat is NOT going to be his forte. Talking, bargaining, lying, performing, is.

So, I want to give him some magical items that fit the bill. Right now, the only two that I can really think about are the Hat of Disguise, maybe stacked with a circlet of persuasion, and a lyre of building. Can anyone else suggest similar, noncombat related stuff? So a horn of blasting wouldn't really work, for example.

Some of the bard instruments from Complete Arcane are pretty cool. Also, there's some crazy skill-based items in Complete Adventurer.

I don't know, you ever been to Las Vegas? I used to live there.... seen it all.
Heh, I've been to Las Vegas. But Sigfried and Roy would have freaked me out if they worked with mummified body parts instead of big white tigers :D

Yup, I like those. They're re-workings of the original "Instruments of the Bards" from 1E (though, 3E versions had also appeared in Magic of Faerun). Magic of Faerun also has a couple of other magical harps.

Unfortunately, I don't actually OWN CA. So, "instruments from the book" doesn't do me much good, without at least a description.

Maybe I'll see about making a ring of cleanliness, but that would fall under House Rules, and isn't much subject for this thread.
