Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

First Post
I have a Elvin Fighter2/Cleric2 with Animal/Plant Domains
The concept is a Ranger just didn’t like the ranger class.

Im looking for a PrCl that advances the Cleric side of the character.

Basic plan was Fighter 10/ Cleric 10.

But there is little reason to stay with the Cleric class so I was thinking a Cleric PrCl would be good.

New plan is Fighter 5/ Cleric 5/ PrCl 10.

But I cant find any PrCl that is not the Church Cleric/ Paladin.

Most all Ranger PrCl you need Favored Enemy to get into.

I was looking at the Spellsword class but a lot of powers are lost on a Divine caster.

I have really good stats as that was given to us. High power, character wis, game.

Str 12
Dex 20
Con 14
Int 18
Wil 17
Cha 16
Needed the Int 18 for skill points to make a Ranger type.

Feats so far are:
-Point Blank Shot
-Precise Shot
-Tacking
-Rapid Shot

I want to use the Domain powers of Command Plant and Animal Friendship to add to the party (have a Hawk right now)

Any ideas for PrCl and Feats in the way of a “Ranger” (Nature worshiping Defender/Scout)
without takeing the Ranger class.

PrCl needs to have +1 Spell casting class and preferably sacks with Cleric for turning.

Follower of Solonor Thelandira?

You probably won't find many classes whose levels stack with cleric levels for turning (I only remember Doomguides, but you have to worship Kelemvor for them, and they only get d6 HD.

If you had selected other domains, you could go for warpriest (good BAB, so a nice substitute for fighter levels, but only 1/2 spellcasting progression). You could, however, pick up War as a Divine Disciple (which is a great choice for clerics all by itself).

And after all, the best way to be a ranger is to be a ranger.

Yeah but Im trying out a alt build for a Ranger.

after finding out that +1 caster lvl PrCl give Domain spells, I see little reason to stay with Cleric.

So Im in persute of a Cleric PrCl that fits the Nature type cleric.
I'd go with a Druid PrCl but most need wildshape and Im not looking for that.

Divine Disciple is in DotF?

Check out the Windwalker in Faiths & Powers(?) the FR god book.

It's the prototypical ranger/cleric, with some cool extras thrown in. Be warned though, it's pretty beefy. Your domains don't work with it IIRC but you might be able to adapt the class to fit your flavor.

Turning Undead. If you're in a campaign where there are much undead, you want to be as good at turning as possible.

Well, that's the disadvantage for choosing cleric rather than druid as divine spellcaster. If you could find a way to qualify for the verdant lord PrC, you'd have a decent one, though.

Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, page 43.

They're specialty priests of Shaundakul, so it won't work for an Hawkeye of Solonor.

Yeah, but I really can't think of another WotC Ranger/Cleric type PrC so maybe he can use it as a template and adapt it.

I first thought of creating a Hawkeye of Solonor PrC, but when I looked up what Solonors speciality priests are like, I found out that they are rangers. He also allowed multiclassed cleric/rangers.

Maybe create a divine archer PrC (funnily enough, there's nothing like that, afaik).

For a Hawkeye, start with a Deepwood Sniper and go from there. Boost the requirements, lose some abilities and add some spellcasting. (not +1 per level, but maybe +1 except for the levels where you get the crit multiplier increase)

Although I wouldn't allow turning to stack...doesn't make much sense for a divine archer/scout PrC. Ah well, you can't have everything!

Don't want to get too house ruley in here so I'll stop there.
