I remember people complaining about Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers because "it was an obvious reference to September 11".

When The Madness of King George III came out in America, they dropped the "III" from the title for fear that American audiences would think it was a sequel to parts I and II they'd never seen. At the time there was a lot of outrage at the slight, but when you really think about it...

Total aside - played in a superhero game once, where a fight took place in a megastore (think Walmart, with the serial numbers scraped off). The soda and beer aisles were a major source for missile weapons!

Yeah, to piggyback off that - if you've ever been to Preakness in the older days, beers we readily used as missiles and grenades with some devastating effects.
