Ultimately, I was more pleased with the "next episode" feature since it looks to be a bit more forthcoming.

All the trailers for upcoming episodes look that way though. They string together just enough info so it looks like more is going to happen then does.

In the summary you forgot to mention that Kate said something to the effect that the guy who the toy plane belongs was the man that she loved and that she killed him.

I thought that Sawyer and Kate had some great chemistry in the episode, and I think Sawyer and Jack have some great chemistry on the show. Kate and Jack just irritate me though... it's nice to see he's seeing through her crap. How do we know her name is Kate?

I think Jack is a little pissy about this crap from the beach people. The cave people had a cave in, Shannon had the asthma attack, Charlie almost died, Claire got kidnapped... ooh, the tide rose, dear lord! I think he sees them all as fairly irresponsible.

Boone... creepy. Watching Sayid and Shannon, stealing the axe? Very freaky. Hopefully we'll see what Boone and Locke were up to next week.

This was a slower episode than I had hoped for. I think next week looks to be much better. It looks like Shannon gets grabbed by the monster.

I agree on the Jack issue, he is very limited in his view of the beach group but they really can't keep living there, soon the rainy season and storms of the equator will begin and that will be hard on them.

Boone went from being 'in the background' to something 'more' real quick, reminded me of Jack in the Shinning.

What was on the envelope in the safe deposit box? There was something written on it, but I couldn't read it. Did anyone else catch it?

I don't remember the envelope in the safe deoposit box having any writing on it. The envelope that Jack handed Kate said Personal Affects on it. I will have to rewatch it to see if the safetly deposit box envelope says anything on it.

The thing about Boone and Shannon disturbs me. He was watching her so intently (they even had the freaky fire/shadow play across his face) that it hints at something odd between the siblings. That did not just look like the face of someone who wants to protect a sibling. Something just feels off about it.
