It bothers me that we see a death scene for Boone, but there have been no other funerals for anyone else we've seen die. On an island with so few people on it, I think every death would be a difficult thing.
They did have a memorial service for the people they buried that died in the crash as well as a service for the man that was killed on the beach, allegedely by Ethan.

Another great episode, and next week's looks even better.

So Claire's baby is soothed by Sawyer's voice. Cute gag, or something more? I wonder if Sawyer is destined to play a part in the baby's future?

Shannon show just how shallow she is. I wouldn't mind if she was the next to go
Yes indeed - Boone gone, scratch one. Now Shannon needs to be wiped out, and fast.

A good episode, and I'm curious to see what happens and what they say when they get to examine the hatch.

So far we've had, what, four deaths, now, post-crash? The swimmer, the pilot, the beach-victim of Ethan and now Boone. We didn't have a body for the swimmer, and I think people were still in shock, so a lack of a funeral then wasn't too suprising.

Shannon has proven herself to once-again be the most dangerous person on the island. Her idiocy is a direct threat to everyone's survival. She doesn't think about anyone but herself, and she's just lashing out like a small child who's had their favorite toy taken away. That's not grief, that's just petty revenge, at best.

Locke and Sayid's verbal sparring was great: I had no idea where that scene was going to end up. I'm glad to see that Sayid didn't do what Shannon wanted him to do.

Oh, and in other discussions we agree: Jack's risking losing his Paladinhood, as of this episode. And they really need that Lay on Hands ability. :)

As much as I loathe Shannon, I think her actions are pretty on the money. She may have loved Boone a lot more than we suppose. It may have taken her a while to work up to it, but sneaking in and stealing the gun case key, then finding Locke, that shows a lot of forethought for Shannon.

Also, unfortunately, they still need her since she's the only one the understands even a little French. I have a feeling that will become important again.

Wonderful stuff with Sayid. High Sense Motive ability :)

Jack not even reacting in a manor to help Locke shows that he changed. He was always the first one to help others even Sawyer, but he totally ignored Locke. And Locke knew it to, by the look on his face.

Shannon's actions, mmmmm, her last ties to her family gone...you have to remember Boone was always the one that helped her out and would do anything for her, now she is really alone and maybe realizing what she lost...it just has not hit her.

Jack is changing. ;)
Kate's mooning over Jack.
Sawyer :) bet the kid is going to be named Huck Finn

Great episode as others have stated. The interplay between Locke and Sayid was well done. Sayid is becoming a great character. Jack walking away from the injured Locke at the end was also a great scene.

I was also happy to be able to do the "I told you so" dance to my girlfriend when Locke revealed that he was the one who had whacked Sayid earlier in the season. I'm one f the people who's been suspicious of Locke all along, and not because he is necessarily evil at heart. Rather that he has shown he is happy with the situation on the island and treats "it" as a sort of father figure. He trusts "it" implicitly and has shown that he will follow suggestions without question.

The raft just seems like such a joke, I can't see why anyone would want to take that chance. I'm curious to see how it's handled in the upcoming episodes. They can't really afford to lose 4 characters to the open sea, so what will happen?

I didn't count the crash memorial, as those people weren't really part of the group.

I don't recall the service for... Scott, was it? I'll have to go back and watch the episode again... oh sad days... :p
