[sblock=Trogdor]Rak'tan's BAB is +1 so he can combine drawing his weapon with his Move action. You'll still have a standard action after drawing.[/sblock]

Arradon Delgaran

[section]
Frustrated at his failed attempts to crush the scorpions Arradon swings his dagger wildly. He sees an opening and strikes, but the effects of the scorpion's poison blur his vision and his swing merely grazes it instead.

Aelspeth Noromiel, Emergent Conjurer

Autumn's words cut through the haze setting in on the edges of Aelspeth's vision. She sighs and looks up at the clustered kobolds as they bring the crossbow to bear. Unsure of her ability to make the shot without accidentally hitting Rak'tan, she runs back to the rope with an alternative tactic in mind. Cover be damned. They're not looking at me right now.

As Aelspeth closes in on Arradon and his scorpion problem, it crosses her mind that the kobolds are really quite ingenious for simple creatures. The wizard thrusts a hand into her spell component pouch for a narrow, palm-sized tube. She uncaps it and begins to slather a milky-white substance over her hand, speaking rapidly to herself, "Uncto lubricum ruinam." When she flaps her oily hand overhead, great globs of grease fly upward to splatter over the crossbow and the hands of the creatures attempting to aim at Rak'tan.

[sblock=Actions]Move: Hustle to G11, if that's the full 30'.
Standard: Cast grease on the crossbow, forcing a DC 15 Reflex save to avoid dropping it. The slipperiness on the crossbow persists for 2 minutes so the kobolds would have to save every round they attempt to pick up or use it.[/sblock]

Rak'tan twists the massive blade in his hands and slices one of the scorpions clutching his shoulder in half. The creature convulses and drops from its perch on Rak'tan, dead.

Scorpions dance around Arradon's feet, dodging blows until the elf brings out a dagger. One isn't quite quick enough and the blade shears off a leg but the creature is still alive and dangerous.

In order to get within range of the kobolds and not have her line of sight blocked by the mist Aelspeth has to run away from Arradon, up the slope and along the edge of the hill that has eroded away. She gets there, barely within range and casts her spell coating the crossbow with grease. It drops to the floor and the kobolds exclaim in alarm, both at the loss of their weapon and the threat of Rak'tan.

The kobolds try to pick up the weapon. Two manage, working together, to pick up the weapon though they open themselves up to Rak'tan's attack as they do so. The other panics and runs towards a second sideways door in the angled floor 25 feet away.

The agitated scorpions, both those at Arradon's feet and the one on Rak'tan's shoulder, express their displeasure in the only way they know how: stingers dart towards flesh. Luckily, none find their mark.

GM: Round Four; everyone is up.
All kobold actions provoke AoO; three total AoO from Rak'tan.

[section]Autumn Foxfire - Natural Mystic

The success of her last shot incites the flames of Autumn's pride. Raw emotion takes over, and she storms down the hill, charging into the mist. She sees Arradon through the fog, but more importantly the offending scorpion. She raises her arm high, then arcing down through the mist her sword neatly and accurately slashes the scorpion clean dead. "Arradon, are you alright?" exclaims Autumn in a hushed tone.

[sblock=OOC]Trogdor, yes, take your three AoO then your turn as usual.

Francis John, obscuring mist will prevent a charge and flanking won't apply either. However, you are right that it still hits and kills a scorpion.
Heh, I tried to think of a way to map it so that it wasn't confusing but couldn't manage it. Imagine Aelspeth on a small cliff... or, Flying![/sblock]
