[sblock=OOC]I guess I misread above because I thought Autumn killed the last scorpion.

Trogdor, if you just kill it then we'll probably be out of initiative rounds anyway.

With a -1 to Climb, Aelspeth has much better odds of killing herself than managing to climb the rope. She would have to delay right now.[/sblock]

At this point the scorpion is just a nuisance. Rak'tan brushes it off his shoulder and stomps it, cracking the carapace of the vermin under his boot. Autumn shinnies up the rope to join Rak'tan in the upper chamber. Below Aelspeth waits to be pulled up and Arradon sweats out the poison that has infected him and made him feverish. Unless there is more that Arradon and Aelspeth wish to do in the entrance to the lair they can easily climb or be pulled up into the guard chamber.

Within that chamber (room 2, level 1 map) there is little of interest. The rope is tied to a heavy ring in the wall and a clever arrangement of cords lead to a cage; any who used the rope would trigger the scorpions to drop on them as happened to Rak'tan. The dead kobolds have little of interest on them except the heavy crossbow and a case of bolts. The crossbow looks to be well-made if poorly upkept since it came into the possession of the kobolds. It may not be useful to anyone in the group but it could be sold for a goodly amount of coin.

There is another door in the slanted portion of the floor that leads deeper into the kobold lair. Looking down into that lower room (room 3, level 1 map) by any with enhanced vision to do so or with a light shows that it is currently empty though it appears it has been well lived in recently. A thick tree limb is propped from the door down to the floor in the lower room.

We could drag out killing the last scorpion but I'm not going to. Rak'tan kills it. Likewise, we could roll out the climbing of every rope and tree branch in this place but we won't do that either. We can assume that using rope and teamwork you'll all be able to move from room to room with a little bit of work. The only time it will be an issue (like during this encounter) is if you are in combat or have a similar distraction. I'll let you know when those rolls are needed. Feel free to roleplay out these times as much as you want. I have greatly enjoyed the things you all have added to the story and revealed about your characters so far.

Rak'tan: hp 13 [4 non-lethal]
Arradon: hp 18 [3 non-lethal]

[section]Autumn Foxfire - Natural Mystic

Before Autumn climbed the rope, she made sure to fetch her dropped bow and the stray arrow.

~~~
After climbing the to the top chamber, Autumn surveys her surroundings. It's rather dark in here. Mmmmmm..... I know...... thanks dad! The druid takes out an arrow, and waves her hands over the shaft. She smiles. "Nígbà tí gbogbo jẹ dudu, ina." She has the bow and lit arrow in hand, ready to go.
After listening to Rak'tan's question, she nods her head in agreement. As she does so, the druid scans the chamber for any traces of magic.
"Perhaps you all can better trust me now that I have felled a few of the enemies in our path."
He says looking upon these adventurers he has just met. "My name is Rak'Tan Veragni, perhaps I could be blessed enough to know yours as well?"
[section]Autumn Foxfire - Natural Mystic
Autumn looks up at Rak'tan, a shudders a bit of how fierce he really looks once she is able to get a prolonged look. "My n-n-name is Autumn Foxfire." Unsure of what else to really say beyond her name, she continues to look for any traces of magic.
