Pirvinia’s spell completed and she summoned forth a small earth elemental behind the goblins near the entrance of the lair so they would have to divide their attention be more vulnerable. The elemental attacked the wounded goblin and smashed him to the ground.

Still maintaining her invisibility, she moved deeper into the lair.

Tsaaruk watches as a strange creature attacks the goblin he battered and not one to complain about the help he strikes the goblin that kindly ran up next to it and then hits it again pulverizing the creature where it stands. He bellows his fiercest war cry to keep all eyes on the group at the entrance hoping the others can handle their business without interruption. The blood before him makes for an intimidating scene as he challenges more to come forward.

A calmer, more rational Iago had made the decision to quaff his mutagen in the belief that it would be unwise to use explosives in a confined space when some of his allies were invisible. But as Iago looked to his right and saw Samad standing at the tunnel entrance, the rush of blood got the better of him. He wanted his enemies to burn.

He darted along the wall, then pulled the steel flagon from his belt. He tossed a pellet into it and rattled it a moment as the goblins stared at him with bemused fascination. Then, with a feral grin, he turned the cup on its side and tapped the back.

The temperature of the room plummeted as shards of ice shot forward from the now frost-covered mug.

Iago is using the Directed Blast ability with his Frost bombs, with Sargeant 1 as his primary target. He gets a 20' cone which he is angling to encompass Sargeant 2 and Grunts 7 and 9 in splash damage. Splash damage is 8 points, and S2 and G7&9 get a DC 15 Reflex save to take half damage. Sargeant 1 is hit based on roll below, and needs to make a DC 15 Fortitude Save to avoid being staggered next round.

"Just look at how well you lot lay down when prompted," Ru says as Tsaaruck takes down the goblins who threatened to bottleneck the trio. He dances across the room after Iago's icy explosion helps reduce the closest seargeant's stamina. With one graceful slice of his blade, Ru sends the seargent to the floor, as well.

"Who's next? Ah! You look like you've got some clout," Ru quips, pointing his blade toward the other goblin seargent.

The party carves into the goblins, cutting a bloody swath through the creatures. As Pirvinia moves deeper into the mine, she becomes aware of several more goblins moving around in the dirty piles of fur and cloth that serve as goblin beds. Down the northern hallway, Ru can also make out more goblins moving about, roused by the shouts of combat.

The remaining sergeant shouts orders to the other goblins, and they spread out, moving to close with Iago and Ru where possible, and staying spread out and throwing javelins where not. Little connects, but for one goblin who manages to scratch Iago.

Combat Map

[sblock=OOC]G15 and S2 pass Reflex save. G7 fails Reflex save. S1 passes Fort save, but it's a moot point since he's promptly cut down.

My attack rolls were sad this round. Iago got hit for 6, which is barely above minimum damage. No other attack rolls were above a natural 6.

Grey squares are difficult terrain: tables, beds, or slop-buckets for the most part.

Pirvinia noticed the rousing of more goblins around her and made a quick arcane gesture to conjure a patch of grease to protect Samad from being surrounded. At least it would slow down the goblins to give the others time to dispatch the ones guarding the entrance.

Still maintaining her invisibility she moved deeper into the lair, looking for the captured cheesemaker.

Meanwhile the summoned earth elemental continued to attack goblins, stepping forward and slamming the nearest one with a rocky appendage.

"Boys, there's plenty of me to go around," he says as he dodges the goblin attacks. He locks his gaze on the goblin directly in front of him and smiles.

"Though I do like to focus on one at a time. And look at you volunteering,"

Ru's dual blades slash the goblin open with three deft strikes. As the goblin falls, Ru's already turning his attention to the other goblin in reach, though his fourth attack -- with his off hand -- slices only air.

"Soon enough for you," Ru promises coldly.

A memory reaches through Iago's pleasantly psychopathic rage, telling him he is supposed to be working more closely with the R'hatmatani swordsman. But both rational analysis and primal bloodlust drive him to the same conclusion: Kill the goblin in front of you.

He smiles broadly and swings his green-stained falchion. The creature's flesh sizzles and spits as the blade bites deep in its chest. Iago pulls it free and then pushes onward.

Splattered with the blood of the first 2 goblins he faced Tsaaruk moves to continue his attack on the goblins and keep the momentum going. The goblin is quickly met with the 1/2 orcs warhammer which releases its electrical energy as well. Tsaaruk stands before his enemy covered in the blood of three goblins he howls at the goblin before him as if offering a challenge, though he expects no such real challenge from one such as this.
