When Iago runs forth he surprises Tsaaruk but the 1/2 Orc quickly overtakes him in his charge to deliver his gods wrath. He bellows a warcry, certainly calling all attention his way as he enters the tunnel colliding with the nearest gobbling and delivering a blow from his warhammer releasing its electrical energy on the dirty monster.

Perrinmiller was assuming Samad was following Pirvinia toward the back. You can do that, or you can engage. You can use the original map position if you want to engage.[/sblock]

With the half-orcs making more than enough sturm und drang to provide their sneakers distraction, Ru slides in behind the raging Tsaaruck and sweeps his gaze over the combat arena.

"Don't figure that one's much longer for this world," Ru mutters of the goblin who's taken the half-orc's charging rage. He points to one of the goblins that seems to be of higher rank. "I do like the cut of that one's jib, though."

His long ears twitched as he heard the commotion behind them. It appeared that they were soon to be joined by their compatriots. Letting go of Pirvinia's hand, he whispered, "Go on ahead if you must, but I should stay to help. I fear that our friends may need it."

It seemed it was not a moment to soon. As his image began taking form, he surveyed the crowd before grabbing a handful of arrows from his quiver. As Bashu willed it, this would be a storm.

With the attack starting before she could get deeper into the lair, Pirvinia stopped where she was and started casting a spell herself.

With Samad's invisibility wearing off, the dervish and the sorceress both move to advantageous positions. One of the goblins notices a slight shimmer in the air, but is quickly distracted by Tsaaruck's warcry. The sentry lets out a cry of pain as the half-orc's axe scores across his back but then turns and draws his weapon, snarling and apparently unafraid. He strikes, but the barbarian easily bats his weapon away. Other goblins move to support him, but cannot get past Tsaruck's defenses.

Other goblins move to engage Samad, and one of the sergeants shoots an arrow but misses, all the while shouting orders at his fellows, one of whom runs deeper into the cave, presumably to alert the others.

Combat Map

[sblock=OOC]Grunts 1, 2, 4, & 8 and Sergeant 2 beat the party on initiative checks. Grunt 1 surprisingly makes his morale check and will stand and fight. Sadly for me, all of them rolled crap for their attacks. Nothing hit.

Party is up.

Grey squares are difficult terrain: tables, beds, or slop-buckets for the most part.

Goblin grunt stats: AC 18, touch 15, flat-footed 14, CMD 16.
