Charity, Human Female
Nodding in assent, Charity steps with Aishe, continuing to keep the captain guessing where the next strike would come from. Seeing her opportunity, the young venzan lunges suddenly, slicing deep into her opponent and letting him crumple to the ground. Finding herself right up against one of his supporting guards, she drops her lucerne hammer to the ground and unslings her shield in readiness for returned blows. Green eyes peer over the top of her shield at the guard mere feet away.

Aishe nods in satisfaction as Charity drops their foe. Her eyes narrow in concentration as she takes a moment to watch one of the remaining guards, gauging his quickness and reactions. She takes an almost absent minded swipe at the guard within her reach, just to keep him on his toes.

~ Day 19, mid-afternoon: Ashore Yarendel ~

With the guard captain down, Yosephus (NPC'd) stepped closer to Charity and cast a healing spell on himself. He was nearly feeling back to normal and the odds were starting to turn in their favor now.

Despite the Captain being slain, the other four were no giving up yet. They shifted around and continued to swing their polearms. Some attempted to wound you, while two focused on tripping up Aishe. One missed and the other succeeded. Aishe was yanked from her feet once more.

"This will not go well for you at your trial. Killing the Captain will see you all hung!"

The other two guards failed to get past the defenses of Charity and Yosephus.

Meanwhile, the other guard was wounded and felt the sting of the viper bite, "Eeyah! What was that?!"

He missed a jabbing thrust at the halfling and then stepped back into the alley.

The pig smelled the fear of the guard. Or, the pig just generously shared some noxious odor from the nether region of his bowels with the entire unsuspecting world. Either way, Bacon the war pig doggedly followed the guard into the alley. He gored him straight through the abdomen, poking holes into his vital organs. The guard dropped into a crumpled mess.

"Well, that takes care of that now doesn't it?" Francis shakes his head. I gave him the option. Fool! "Good job boys! Boots.... get back here would you?" The viper winds through the snow and happily slithers up the halfling's body, finding an inviting resting place in the nest of Francis' hair, fulling appreciating the new-found body warmth. "Let's go take a peeksie, shall we? Bacon, back on detail!" The pig grunts in approval. Francis sneaks up the path, next to the side of the building. He keeps a wary eye on any approaching company.

Setting her shield for the flurry of blows she is likely to receive, Charity pushes forward against two of the guards, stepping directly between them and slashing viciously at the guard in the open, leaving the other trapped between her and the wall. Launching a powerful lunge strike, her blade finds a weak spot in the man's armor and lances in deeply, blood mixing with the captains as she draws her blade back.

[sblock=Combat Stuff]Move action: Move to AD-6, provoking AoO from G1, G2 and G4. AC is 20. Assuming they don't have Combat Reflexes, this should give the lower AC Aishe the chance to get up unmolested.
Standard action: Assuming I make it without the AoO's doing huge damage, Power Attack with rapier on G2, scoring a hit for 12 points.

F5 Rapier Power Attack on G2: 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22

Does it really matter? G1 works for me

Aishe casually tosses a dagger at the guard currently drawing Charity's attentions. The blade speeds to its target, etching a line in the man's armor and causing him to grunt from the impact. Aishe springs nimbly to her feet, drawing another dagger as she rises.

Yosephus was seeing the tide of the battle turning and he drew his own melee weapon. He was not very good with the morningstar, but his healing skills were not needed right that moment.

He stepped up to get inside the polearm's reach of a guard and tried braining one in the head. Unfortunately the man blocked it on the shaft of his guisarme.
