If not for the lingering threat of the Harran or the shadow of a future encounter with a restless spirit the afternoon spent on the hill above Kingsholm's cemetery would have been idyllic perfection. The weather, as Autumn predicted, was fine: warm, with a breeze stirring the leaves of the trees. Having given up his burden to Autumn, Etan regained that childish, fey humor and chased and was chased by rabbits on the lower hill like some sort of children's game. The lunch packed by the proprietor of the Coronet and Cabbage, cold roast chicken, fresh-baked crusty bread, and a couple of bottles of a pale wine, were delicious and allowed everyone to forget for a moment the recent troubles.
