OOC: Assuming Rinaldo doesn't stall for more time. If he does, this can slot in later pretty well, I think.
On their way out, Eanos decides to pull out the jovial guard routine again, this time with his "fellow men of arms."
"Now, Mr. Rinaldo, he cuts hisself a fine figure. Aren't many ladies'll turn him down so quick as Arness. She got herself something going on already? Maybe that fellow with the flail? Spill out: who's she spend all her time with, eh? Just between you and me, of course."

Rinaldo tries to hide a grin at Eanos comments on the way out. Once they are both outside the castle, where Rinaldo is sure no one would eavesdrop.
"If you think I wanted to seduce her, I will tell you that I have a wife and three young children. No, I wanted to speak to her without so many person to hear. The people there would have found suspect that a merchant come and suddenly, can have a private audience with the mayor, and I think I would have been able to have one if I had presented the coin they gave us.
By the way, thanks for your intervention. It was well place. It would have been too suspect for me to ask more about the Inn. I think anyone who knows nothing about the events will think I am an ambitious merchant, maybe a bit too much. For someone who knows will have doubt, but nothing firm. So from now on, stay more alert."

"No worries, Master Rinaldo. I remembered you mentioning your wife earlier. I hope you weren't offended at my having taken liberties there, but I just hoped to get a little more insight into where Arness' loyalties might lie. And now we know that her alliance with our employer, Medius, may be more than just political. Might be good to remember when and if we choose to reveal ourselves to her as his agents.
"So, where to next? I suppose it might be good for our cover to check out the abandoned building. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and it will be constructed like the inn, then we'd have insights into how perhaps the underfloor maze is laid out at our current base."

"Not a bad idea, Eanos. I would also like to study a bit more on the two men who overheard us. I know the way they have explored. I woudl be curious to see if the ruins on the road they have taken might be some reunion place. It could also be a farm, or I might be wrong, but I think it could be interesting to study.

Eanos and Rinaldo leave the castle and walk the short distance down the hill, across the street and over to the abandoned house. It is easy to identify, as this 30' by 25' building is in poor repair. Some boards have fallen off and others have warped. A few of the shutters
have fallen off or are hanging by a single leather hinge.
An overground path leads from the road to the door, which is intact and closed.
