Major WotC Announcement At Origins?

So what did you read he's personal publicist's press release.Sure what you say is true but so are a lot of other things.Like how he uses his media empire to push his own liberal views, how he hates christinaity to the point that he divorced his wife over it.

He owns a wrestling league, the atlanta braves and Big chunk of Aol/Time Warner. When he bought MGM the first thing he did was colorize all the great classics that he could so he could show them on his cable network.
Many years ago he won the America's Cup The premeire prize in Yahting. D&D would be like a prize to him to flaunt in front of the christians he hates so much. The couple of measly millions that the game could generate for him would not be enough for this billionaire to bother continuing to publish new gaming material he would merely be his new toy intil he sold yet again.

1) The submission contest could not have any relationship to a pending sale. Having done nearly 50 mergers and acquisitions in my time, one of the primary rules of all acquisitions is that both parties continue to behave exactly like they would have behaved if there was not a pending acquisition, right up until the date the documents are all signed. That's because MOST acquisitions fall apart (even up until the day of signing). WOTC would not have done anything in anticipation of a sale.

2) Ted Turner isn't nearly as bad as the rumors here seem to portray him. He has some pretty damn smart people working for him. The likelyhood is that, if his companies acquired D&D (unlikely though that now seems), you would probably start seeing national television-based ad campaigns for D&D. In my mind, that would be a good thing.

Well, let's see what we've got here...

He uses his property to express his views. Not sure why that's evil; every media owner does the same thing. Or is it only evil when the views diverge from your own?

He divorced his wife over religious differences. Millions of other couples have done the same thing.

He owns a lot of things. Not sure where the evil is there, unless you're a communist, but, if you WERE a communist, you'd support Turner's leftist views, so, I'm confused...

Colorizing movies: That's the most evil thing on this list, but even that's a pretty minor offense. He felt more people would want to watch the movies if they were in color. Bad marketing decisions aren't generally considered among the seven deadly sins. The films remain available in black&white, after all.

Come ON, people! Let's find some REAL evil. Sacrificing babies to Baal. Raping underage sheep. Voting for Jesse Helms. Something truly irredeemable! Remember, this is the Internet -- you don't need facts or logic, just make something up!

But, since he didn't buy D&D and had no interest in it -- the whole thing was a joke made up by some LARPers -- it's sort of moot, eh?

Quick addendum to my own post: He completely screwed up Babylon 5.

For THAT, he shall burn in the hell of your choice. Die Turner Die!

(No, that's not German for "The Turner The".

Never once did I say he was evil I was only stating some of his background just a few facts as to why he would be a bad choice to own D&D and as I said he colorized the classics what would he do to D&D:)

It is par for the course that Ted Turner operates a ranch on which he allows people to hunt (which is fine) while giving lots of money to environmental groups who try to outlaw the practice for everyone but Ted Turner.

He openly mocks and abuses employees who are Christians while it is well documented that he spraypainted Swastikas on the doors of Jewish students. He is so anti-christian it is really not even funny.

While not being evil, it is routine for him to say such stupid things that CNN's #1 biggest problem in the world seems to be Ted Turner. I believe he recently compared Bush to Hitler and called Israeli soldiers terrorist. The end result of some of his recent behavior is that the Palestinians think CNN is biased against them, the Israelies think CNN is biased against them and it seemed like last week CNN would no longer be broadcasting in Israel or Palestine all because of Turner.

While there are other, more evil men in abundance, I gotta agree with Stannis that Turner is a despicable man and it is hard to find anything good to say about him.

Your source for the Swastika information, please?

Basically, what I found is that he's a strict liberal...

Line up half the group that says being a strict liberal is evil, and the other half that says voting for a conservative like Helms is evil...

...aaaaand we have thread lockdown in an instant.
