Male or Female?

This poll is inspired by the Gary Gygax part IV thread here at Enworld, in which some posters claim the percentage of females playing D&D (or other RP games) is 25 percent, while others insist it is closer to 10 percent, with even other suggesting the real number is closer to the five or six percent mark. So, please, to satisfy my own curiosity regarding the sex of people reading and posting on Enworld, please vote! I realize this will not be a statistically meaningful poll in the strictest scientific sense.

So the questions is: are women more inclined to respond to this poll, knowing they're the minority, thus skewing the results?

For me, a more interesting poll would be to ask what people's native language is. I imagine most D&D players are English-speaking (possibly primarily American), but I may be way off on that.

But hey, I voted. Male. No female...wait...yeah, Male.

All I know is that I ran across a young woman in Borders Books today who plays in an all-female D&D group.

I think there is hope yet for this hobby

It's too bad that I can't vote multiple times in these polls, because of the array of the group I'm in. 3 guys, 2 girls originally, now 5 guys and one girl, and had a run-in with another gamer chick in town a long while ago. Not much of a sway, but more accurate numbers.

My gaming group is evenly split male/female. I'm just the only one who cares enough to be active on line (and a male), so my vote is a bit skewed.

Well, I am the only girl in a all male group. However, a few guys in my group are finally getting married and or engaged and their girl-friends have a budding interest in the game. They are even trying to play now and then.
I am married to the DM. I dont know very many girls that play, but you guys keep converting, or trying to convert your woman. !!!
