Marked by Destiny, Marked by Tragedy (Erekose13 Judging)

*Pooling suggestions, Alys and Brelach eventually manage to get a few good ideas as far as fences and hiding places are concerned.*

"Alright then, I should be back from the gnome before they wake up, but if I'm not, I'm sure you can make sure that our two guests get a good taste of the bad cop such that they'll be relieved and terribly grateful when I return to free them from your oppressive tyrannical grip, if only they can please help me keep you away from them by just answering a few simple questions--after all, I can't hold back such a big strong man all by myself for long. If you want to bring a corpse of another kobold and pretend to kill it messily where the other can see (but not well enough to notice that the one you're 'killing' is already dead), that can sometimes work too."

"Ah, the old Kill the Kobold trick." Brelach mutters. "I had a friend who loved that technique... a little too much. I think maybe we use the Tin Man to good effect... threaten to turn them into some sort of snack. I think I'll just sound things out... I don't really want to be caught around town carrying a dead kobold. My shirt's dirty enough, thanks."

As he glances over to Brelach, a corner of his lip tugs upwards,"Bad cop? Don't worry about that, I'll do any finger-breaking if you're unsettled."

OOC: Is the warehouse still burning, and how badly is it burnt?

(OOC: So many bad cops--good, good :] Alys is hoping that the bad cops will give her a bonus, at least as much as an Aid Another. She's expecting that if she's the nice one protecting these hostages from the others, they might start off Unfriendly to her instead of Hostile, and then with the +2s from the aiding of the bad cops, she should be able to get them Friendly and hopefully talking (or Helpful if she rolls really really well).

OOC: The house is still up in flames. The Heavy rain will stop it from taking the rest of the docks with it but the building itself is too far gone to save. If you want to investigate you're going to want to find some means of protection from the flames.

Just to make sure I've got everyhing right:

Alysina is going to follow Friend and his master to the nearest hospital, while the rest of you (providing you don't want to try and search the house) are going to look for somewhere to stash the bodies/interrogate the prisoners?)

(OOC: Almost--Alys knows those unconscious sorts are going to be out for hours, so she's hoping to be back for the main interrogation as well. Other than that, I believe you've got it exactly on all counts.)

Bennit looks between the still-burning house, not quite yet doused, and the prisoners for a few moments. His gaze soon turns to Weapon, a glint coming into his eyes.

"Ehya, Weapon...you think you can, er, act?"

He motions towards the door of the house. "You look enough like that other warforged, and no one was paying attention anyways with the combat, and fire, and rain, to know the difference. Y'could stand in front, there, and make sure no-one goes in to try and tamper before we get a chance to. Alls ya would havta do was say yer name was Friend and that stuff was under control, yeh? Anyone wantin' t'tamper with that prolly needs to be checked out, anyhow."

"Beyond that, wasn't there some half-eared almond eye brother we're supposed to find?"

"I'm pretty sure we've found the illusion's source--the gnome...perchance that box, something happened here. I think at this point, finding Yolanda's brother, when he's just another Dragonmarked drawn in by the visions, would be superfluous."

Alys' knowledge of Sharn's underworld, though not bad for a non-local, isn't particularly extensive. A common fence will be easy enough to find, though whether they'll have the expertise to assess the value of such an exotic item is questionable at best. Failing that there's always the legitimate but expensive option of hiring a Tharasshk to identify the box.

With regards to the prisoners, Alysina can't think of any obvious places that one could conduct a potentially rough interrogation with no risk attached. That said there are a number of options:

1) The Boramar clan. You may not be a member but you know a guy who knows a guy, and finding you a safe house would be child's play to them. Of course, they aren't going to help you out of the kindness of their hearts, if you seek their help it's a given they'll want something in return.

2) Flynn's. The docks doesn't lack for disreputable taverns and Brelach knows a guy that owes him a favour. That said they are public places, and known to the watch. Too much noise will attract the wrong kind of attention.

3) Find an abandoned back alley in the bad part of town and beat on them till they spill the beans. There are many places in Sharn the watch simply will not go... the risks of this approach should be obvious.

OOC: Alysina's adventure's following in Friend's wake will follow later today. Truth be told I'd forgotten about Yolanda's brother, I only added him in at the last minute to give Yolanda some fleshing out, suffice to say that yes he was likely one of the gawkers that have now dispersed.

Weapon shrugs, still carrying the halfling over his shoulder. "I am not one for a casual relation with the truth as are many of you. I can stay here, though I am unsure what that will accomplish other than the guard becoming curious of my motives."
