just an FYI that we got Valanthe's computer rebuilt and recaptured most of the data, including the badges. They've been printed up and hopefully should be mailed out to you within the next day or so. I'll let you know as soon as they're off on their merry way.

You are slotted into the games you requested (check the sign-up thread). There is no cost...a couple of wealthy donors and the Terps Gaming Club took care of all the monetary costs.

Badges will be available at the door, courtesy of WizarDru and Valenthe.

As far as tear down, just hang around until we are done...there shouldn't be too much to do.

Make sure you have money for food and drink, available at the Student Union.

UMD's first look fair was today, pretty much all the clubs out on the mall with tables set up trying to recruit new members. The Terrapin Gaming Club was out in force, with a table of roleplaying books, random cards games, funny looking dice, and whatever else we could throw together. I figured we should also be pimping TerpCon, so I took 15 minutes or so to throw together a quick flyer.

As of yet, we don't have any sort of central (easy to reach) location for info on TerpCon. It took me about 20 minutes to find all the (correct) info, as at first I had the wrong date, time, and was still under the impression there was a door charge. The flyer should have the correct info, but please contact me immediatly if I still got some of the details wrong. We handed out maybe 20 or so copies, and still have from 10-2 tomarrow manning the booth. The current version is at:

A graphic artist I am not, but it's the best I could do with the 15 minutes between classes in the Engineering Computer labs. Originally a Publisher 2003 file distilled into PDF.

Is there any chance someone could throw up a quick web page with the info? Thus far it's been really inconvenient to tell people the info is "somewhere on the enworld.org forums," especially when non-members can't search. I plan on keeping a couple of the flyers around to hand out when it comes up, but it's pretty poor at the moment. Any ideas?

Talk about on the same wavelength . I was out there today, so I came back to work on a flyer as well. Oh well, variety is always a plus.

Anyway, this info will be on the flyer, but I thought I'd post it up here too. Some basic pictoral directions I made with my infant photoshop skills.

The red thing is the union, the blue things are available parking, and the yellow thing is the road you should take, starting at Route 1.

Mine was more just to hand out to current students, or at least people who knew the area (which seems a pretty safe assumption if they were at the first look fair checking out the TGC table). It got kind of weird trying to point to information that wasn't consolidated at all. I know a couple members were talking about putting up some more general fliers around campus, but I think the design for that one is still in progress (possibly by Kevin, I didn't get much info).

We still don't have info for people not associated/familiar with the campus. I've really been concentrating on things from a gaming club angle (which is odd, because the gaming club at large doesn't seem to know much about it). I suppose info on the Metro stop, and some sort of info on the university shuttle running from the station should be in order. I didn't really think about parking at all, but then again I've never really parked on campus before so it's not exactly on my list of priorities...

So, people who DON'T know the campus; what do you need, what should we post?

A couple of items:

(1) The "Flyer" looks good...the only change is that we are in the "Colony Ballroom", not the "Grand Colony Ballroom"

(2) I know it is a pain-in-the-you-know-what...but this is the thread you need to direct people to to sign-up for games that have been organized by EN World/TGC thus far:

There will be space for open gaming, but if people want a pre-organized game...they need to go to the EN World site, register and sign-up for a game (alternatively, they can ask someone else to post to this thread and sign them up for a game).

Otherwise they may be milling about aimlessly...

(3) What I think would be most helpful to those coming from outside U of M (most of the EN Worlders) is a fairly simple schematic that shows the location of major roads, the Stamp Center and close parking lots. Also, if you have the actual street address of the Stamp Center, please post it and I will .pdf a Mapquest map and thumbnail it.

1) Put the url for the actual Game Sign-up Thread on it (somehow)

2) Can you backprint it with a list of current games/open slots with a "subject to change" disclaimer?
