Menace of the Icy Spire (Ozymandias79 judging)

Balth feels the cold seep into his bones again.

Ugh. We're taking a beating here, hit this thing with everything you've got!

He moves back, drawing his bow in the same action, firing; reloading and firing again. The motion is smooth; it's the ice that is smoother. As he's stepping back, his left foot slides down the icy deck, and the arrows shoot into the mast. He almost topples over, but manages to stay on his feet as he slides three feet with the slope of the ship.

The creature lurches to its feet and tears at Shorrin, barely missing.

[sblock=OOC]
Lucky Shorrin, I rolled a 19 vs. AC 20.

Too busy to do a map and full update today, but not much happened this turn anyway. Just remember Balth's at I8 now.

Shorrin and Balth are in the 2-square cold damage aura, and Shorrin's up. Probably won't have time to post again until tomorrow.

Murphy will continue to fire from his relatively safe position at the creature, but again seems to be unable to hit the zombie.

"Damn the c-c-c-cold." Murphy curses.

Shorrin's attack pushes the zombie off the deck and backs it up against the rock outcropping which Larinza and Janus are huddled behind.

[sblock=Status]
Shorrin takes 4 cold damage, hits the zombie for 10 and pushes it to J6, but doesn't mark it this time, since he didn't mention the mark in his post like I asked.

Murphy misses.

(No backup map this time, ImageShack is misbehaving.)

Janus grabs Larinza by the shoulders and strains to drag her back away from the lurking zombie. Then stands suddenly and fires another couple if icy daggers at the thing.
“If I never see another of these beasts, it will be too soon.” Janus mutters to his unconscious comrade.

The ice daggers strike the zombie's back, and it stumbles forwards and moans. It clutches piteously at its rags, its body vibrating - and then suddenly explodes! A blast of cold air whips past Balth and Shorrin, and they seem to hear evil laughter on the wind, slowly dissipating.

[sblock=OOC]
Bah! I completely forgot these things were supposed to explode when you killed the first one, so I decided I'd save it for the last... and then you kill it when nobody's adjacent!

Larinza's still unconscious until she receives some more healing, BTW.

Shorrin rushes over to his fallen companions side, unable to do anything but watch. He says a quick prayer to combat his feeling of helplessness and moves to find this throwing hammer.

[sblock=ooc]

Shorrin will spend 2 healing surges to heal back to 31hp

and sorry for how cold Shorrin seems here.

Janus looks around for something to warm Larinza with, alas he has come ill prepared for this sort of thing.
"Don't die my lady, I vow here and now to learn the art of healing. Mayhaps in future I can do more for you than stop the bleeding."

[sblock=ooc]
Janus attempts to revive the fallen warlord. And fails.

Smiling now despite the cold and grim situation of the other "heroes", Murphy will casually walk/slide down the ship to the icy ground.

"Wish I could help ya mate, but I'd be doing more harm than good. It looks like it was her time" the warlock says to Janus callously, and begins to walk under the deck, hoping to locate anything that might be salvagable in the wreck.

[sblock=OOC]
Sorry, but that's just the kind of guy Murphy is.
