Mercurial Longsword (400gp), 1d10, x3 crit weighs 6 lbs.

Mercurial Greatsword (600gp), 2d8, x4 crit, weighs 17 lbs.

I know that the Greatsword has been errated somewhere, but I don't remember what it went to...

I haven't seen a mercurial scythe anywhere, and I don't think it would work anyway.

The Mercury is inside the sword, and it travels to the end of the sword during the swing to add more weight to the end, giving the sword more momentum.

The whole idea is that they are hollow with mercury in them. So as you swing, the mercury goes to the tip creating a dense area causing more damage. Personally, I think these weapons would be more brittle then normal and much hardier to make then they say (plus handling mercury isn't good for anyone).

All in all I don't think this type of weapon improvement can be applies successfully to a scythe. In the book it just lists 2 of these weapons, not a template for apply this to weapons.

Silly, very silly, the blade is to thin to house the mercury, and if it was in the shaft, weeeeeeeeeeee out it comes. Now lets try that with a pick...

These have been errated to...

Mercurial Longsword, 1d8, x4 crit

Mercurial Greatsword, 2d6, x4 crit

Just thought I'd clear that up to avoid any confusion. :)
