Middling Saving Throw?

Hey, I was just working on a prestige class and wanted to give it a save bonus somewhere between the "good save" and the "bad save" - but cannot find that middle progression in the 3.0 DMG (I don't own the 3.5 one) or in the SRD.

Can someone point me to it or post it? Or am I just imagining that such a thing existed?

Thanks.

As far as I can tell, no D&D supplement uses an "Average" saving throw (that goes up to +9). The swashbuckler in Complete Warrior has a class feature that effective makes his Reflex save an Average save, but again, this is shown as a class feature and not in the actual Reflex save column.

Several other Wizards of the Coast products use an Average save (d20 Modern and Star Wars d20). Other publishers also use an Average save (Malhavoc's Arcana Evolved, etc.).

The Medium progression is from the Star Wars d20 game. The progression is (0.4 * level) + 0.6 (round all fractions down). The first 10 levels, therefore, are: +1, +2, +2, +2, +3, +3, +4, +4, +4, +5.

In D&D, the Medium progression isn't used, for reasons that are unclear to me. Instead, classes like the Swashbuckler and Scout give the Poor progression for saves and then give a +1 bonus at 2nd level, a further +1 at 11th level, and a third +1 at 20th. This gives almost exactly the same progression.
