just talked to her. she says the doctors are going to try to let her out tomorrow.

of course, if so, she is likely to spend the whole weekend doped up on morphine... but i guess better that and being with us, than being alone in the hospital! ;)
Hope she recovers quickly and can enjoy some of the holidays with you and the BOZette.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Boz.

And what's wrong with being doped up?? ;)

All joking aside, great to hear that Boz

Very best holiday wishes to you, Mr and Mrs Boz!

Actually, my household used to have a second minor "Christmas" on January 7th. Some sort of Ukrainian tradition I think, although we weren't Ukrainian ourselves.

Oh wait, I found this on the internet: "Christmas Day is celebrated either on December 25 in accordance with the Roman Catholic tradition (Gregorian Calendar), or on January 7 which is traditionally the Orthodox or Eastern Rite (Julian Calendar) church holy day."

Ukraine is divided religiously into two large groups the Eastern Catholic church (sometimes called Greek Catholic, Ukrainian Catholic, etc) who would follow the Gregorian Calendar; and the Eastern Orthodox church, which follows the Julian Calendar. Thus, holidays like Christmas, Easter, and even New Year are celebarated by the church 13 days later.
