Minotaur as a playable character?

The horns can't be very useful as natural weapons, and it is worse if the minotaure PC wanted to use them against shorter enemies, for example goblings and kobolds. And most of helms are created by humanoids heads without horns. Animal-headed humanoids would need different helms because the shape of their heads is too different.

Other option could be to use 5Ed minotaur PC specie and later to add levels of minotaur racial parangon class (an idea from 3.5 Unearthed Arcana).

Minotaurs have been a playable race in Dragonlance since 1st edition. They are an honorable warrior race known for their seafaring prowess. Think of them as fantasy Klingons.

For 3rd edition, minotaurs as a playable race are in the Dragonlance Campaign Setting. There is a lot more expanded info on them in Races of Ansalon. I'm proud to say I wrote the minotaur chapter in the last book.

Check it out!

I know this is an old thread necroed, but I

I know that there's some epic-level thread necromancy going on here, but I gotta say, the 3.5 Ed DL Campaign Setting/Races of Ansalon Minotaurs were some of the best-written Minotaur PCs I've read. I had a blast playing my Minotaur cleric back then.
