Yeah. The art is really important to them. And to a lot if 5.5's fans too, apparently. You mean other than the statblocks they have shown off?

The art is gorgeous. It is also easy to show off in a video. But they did not talk about the art mostly. Mostly they talked about how the fey work in the game and what they are for.Yeah. The art is really important to them. And to a lot if 5.5's fans too, apparently.
That would be a great answer to not leave unspoken. I know I would appreciate a little more straight-talk from them. The unspoken answer is probably something like... "99% of the playerbase doesn't care one way or the other or won't even notice it... and the 1% that does can change the monsters themselves so they are all humanoid or all fey, if it really matters that much to them."![]()
1. Fey are awesome.
2. Fey are the core of Western real world mythology.
3. Fey are awesome.
It's not a great idea IMO no matter who says it. Doesn't make sense to me.Wow. If Keith Baker says there are Gnolls that lost their fiendness, it is a brilliant idea.
If WotC says that for elves and goblins and giths, the idea is weak.
By that logic, all monsters should be fey.we are literally playing a game based on fairy tales
You'll note they have done videos promoting those too.So are dragons, monstrosities, aberrations, undead, giants, elementals, fiends, constructs, plants and beasts.
Should deciding to play a half-elf or a half-orc require a feat tax? Why? It makes you immune to some spells, but makes you weak against others. That's it.
And while we are at it, I'd add half-orc, or half-elf human feats.
Origin feat is the right place because do you want to be an ordinary elf or human for 3 levels with background farmer just to notice you are actually fey/half-elf or half-orc?
Compare it to the magic initiate dip, or musician, not to something like crafter.
Do you get an advantage?Should deciding to play a half-elf or a half-orc require a feat tax?
