Most attacks per round

Hydra dervish with that interpretation of how many attacks of opportunity it can make in a round, surrounded by players under a confusion spell

Full BAB 10/Dervish10 with all the TWF feats and the capstone ability ("A Thousand Cuts" or something like that) should get what, 16 attacks in one round? Granted, he can't do that all the time, but still.

I don't have my books with me so please be gentle if I've goofed.

A Monk 16/Fighter 4 will have four attacks from BAB at level 20, two more from Greater Flurry, and can get another from the Snap Kick feat (PHB II, I think). According to the official FAQ, a Monk can also use TWF, and assuming he has the Dex and BAB at the right levels to get the feats, that's another 4 attacks per round, for 11/round, each of which suffers a -4 to hit (-2 from TWF, -2 from Snap Kick).

Personally, I'd rather do the Dervish (higher BAB, and while dancing they hit even harder). And if I did the Monk, I'd forgo Snap Kick and TWF for a chance to actually hit my opponents.

Twelve heads beats an extra shuriken any day of the week. :)

A 12 headed hydra has 12 bites. Greater Two Weapon Fighting + Rapid Shot + Flurry of Blows only gives 11, but you get to keep all your class abilities and can do it in a small area where being huge is annoying. You can also take all those attacks at range if need be.

So unless every day of your week involves large rooms, no need for class abilities, and melee only fights, you may want to reconsider. :)

The Exotic Weapon Master PrC can give you an extra attack.

There are 3.0 and Dragon Magazine sources too.

Because that's what the polymorph subschool does these days. Even if you ignore that erratta size, range, and appearance can make being a hydra less than ideal.

That may be what the polymorph subschool does, but I was under the impression the description of the polymorph spell had not changed.
