btw thanks @GuardianLurker and @DrunkonDuty for name-checking Bujold characters. Her fiction is some of my favorite, bar none, across both SF (Vorkosigan) and Fantasy (5 Gods)

I wasn't name checking per se. I'm familiar with Bujold's name but have never read her stuff. But it's on the to-read list!

Yes, but I didn't even think of Cordelia Naismith. Although in the end I think I would have stuck with Ista dy Challion. And in defense of those who think my choices weren't iconic, the tile says iconic princesses, the OP says top princesses. I went with top.

The only thing you're possibly missing out on is Jeremy Irons chewing all the scenery and a largely forgettable Tom Baker cameo. It's largely forgettable. I remember liking the second movie more though.
