Misconception.
The enhancement bonuses of magical bows and arrows stack.

Using a +3 bow, the Arcane Archer can imbue his arrows to +3, and get +6 attack and damage.

Um, didn't the previous poster's calculation show that the AA was still doing more damage already even when the enhancement bonus was left out.

Um, didn't the previous poster's calculation show that the AA was still doing more damage already even when the enhancement bonus was left out.

Before the edit, the Deepwood Sniper was well ahead, because they were doing the same base damage, but the DS had a better attack bonus and a better crit multiplier.

After the edit, to add in the effect of magic arrows, the Archer does more base damage, but the Sniper still blows him away with successful criticals.

At a range of 20' (increases attack bonus and damage by +1):
Deepwood Sniper:
average damage: 54 points
with one confirmed crit: 100.9
Arcane Archer:
average damage: 60.28 points.
with one confirmed crit: 91.19

Yes, it does seem fairly balanced but the max damage that the Dwd Snpr can do with a crit or two is very scary. If you could get a high level Dpd Snpr with a +5 bow and +5 arrows and a bow of might....that x5 multipler adds up really quick.

I guess it is kind of like my life...no particular goal in mind. When I posted the thread I was interested if someone know what 'keen edge' was and if people had opinions on whether the deepwood sniper was balanced.
