Haven't seen much of them, honestly. And I'm afraid that what little I've seen would be meaningless out of context. (IOW, I'm not sure I can offer my opinion without going into the mechanics of how they work.)
Heh, I think most would be interested in knowing if they just work.

Early on there was a comment that their intention was to make multiclassing work for "all classes, all levels". But the last comments we've heard suggested that they were still trying to get them to work, and that they've tried a few different approaches already.

I've always been a huge fan of gnolls. I like to think of 4E as the edition that finally caught up with me in realizing how cool they are. ;)
 Well, of the classic LL humaniods I'll agree that gnolls and hobgoblins were probably the most interesting. But they were all just speedbumps in the end so any improvement here will be good.

I really glad to hear that the combat is exciting and interesting, my players love combat and will start fights with anything. My games have been slowing down because of high level combat bog and I have been getting a little bored running slow games, the players forget the story.

With 4e I am hoping that combat is more exciting for me as a DM (I never get to play :(...) and I can tell a story as a decent pace.

The one thing that bothered me is that I didn't want some of the powers to be too over the top. IF a class has a power source of Martial I don't want to much magic mixed in with that.

How have you found the flavour for all that? No too over the top is it?

Hey Ari,

How about disclosing some crunchy bits, as much as you can tell. For instance:

-Who killed the BO9S classes and took their stuff?
-Is class progression same as in SAGA (i.e. af eat every even level, and a talent/power every odd)?
-What are some cool powers paladins get aside from smites?

Regards

I can imagine that if you've been looking at the rules for a few months now you must have become pretty frustrated with some of the threads here :)

That's by the by though.

I'm interested in your playtest experiences - have you been playing low level, medium level (paragon), and high level (epic) playtests, or just working in one tier at the moment?

Cheers

Actually, the comments stating that multiclassing was still in the middle of being playtested/developed were recorded back in November but only released a week ago, another unfortunate (although small) PR problem.

Good to hear you like it Ari! I really value your opinion, and like your work. (I was actually pretty sold, anyhow, but that's another matter!)

Excellent! I'm a major gnoll fan myself, so this is a neat development! :)

No, that was me misremembering. What they refuted was the idea that the fighter did more than 500 hp in one shot. (Hence my removal of the HP comment from the post. :))

in Worlds and Monsters it is clarified:

the fighter didn´t do 500 points of damage, but he did not do 1d10 + 20 either (paraphrased)

So i guess he did something like 50-100 Damage with a per encounter ability
