D&D General MtG Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Spoiler Thread

Some new info dice rolling is confirmed, but not detailed. Module Lands are actually a cycle of 10, not nine, but it includes evolving wilds, the rest are brand new lands. The set is not specific to any time period, but it is specific to the Forgotten Realms. Getting CR characters was "unfeasible" so likely no CR secret lair. 30 of the 80 art cards have stats.

There is a cycle of 6 Legendary Mythic Dragons, including Tiamat, which basically confirms Bahumat is a Planeswalker. Alsoba Uncommon cycle of Dragons. The set has 5 Planeswalkers, including Ellywick and Lolth (Lolth=Black, Ellywick=Green, Bahumut=White, Elminister=Blue, and Gruumsh=Red?)

We actually already know who the other 5 Mythic Dragons, and one of the Uncommons, from the Arena Mastery Pass rewards:

  • Ancient Red Dragon [the Uncommon one]
  • Icingdeath, Frost Tyrant
  • Iymrith, Desert Doom
  • Ebondeath, Dracolich
  • Inferno of the Star Mounts
  • Old Gnawbone

Another things that folks have teased out: Ellywick Tumblestrum and Nadaar have their names taken from the PHB suggested name lists for Gnomes and Dragonborn, respectively. APparently, WotC even provided a pregen Cleric in 3.5 on their website named Ellywick Tumblestrum! So it seems the "face" characters who are fighting the Xanathar on the Set booster box are a cycle of "Player's Handbook" characters.

Barrowin of the Undurr(운두르 부족의 바로윈)
Apparently, one of the playable characters in the Temple of Elemental Evil board game, and in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms:

Inferno, Red Dragon, is the money bags Dragon, multiple lairs, all filled with treasure, he's a millionaire.

Icingdeath, white Dragon is dead, killed by Wulfgar amd Drizzt, although he might be coming back some how. The weapon named after him isn't an artifact card.

Iymrith is a maniputive spellcasting Blue Dragon who loots Netherese Ruins.

Ebondeath is a Black Dracolich, part of the Cult of the Dragon.

Old Gnawbones is a Green Dragon who funds adventure parties, who likes to use spells to turn into humans, and who has an Ettin Half Dragon son called Bonesplitter (would be awesome if she created a Legendary Creature Giant Dragon Token when entering the Battlefield).

I wonder if a Gold Dragon will be white's mono colour Uncommon Dragon.

They specified in one of these articles that the Set isn't meant to represent the "current" time-frame particularly, or any one time-frame for the Realms: sort of an all-time all-stars.

So, interestingly, Mark Rosewater has said on Tumbler that during the design if the Set, there was only one Dungeon until very late in the process when they added two more. So, "venture into the dungeon" originally meant to venture into the Dungeon.
