Multiclassing A wizard and A Sorcerer

I don't understand your question. You would handle it exactly the same as any other multiclassing. There's no overlap of casting abilities, if that's what you're asking...

No; by the rules, caster level does not stack.

In general, sor/wiz is a terrible multiclass. There are folks who have put out house-rule feats to overcome some of the weaknesses of this combo, but it's just not conceptually great.

I believe only familiar levels would stack, but I'm not sure.
The specialist with a few sorcerer levels in the opposing school wasn't the brightest advice of the " powerplays", rule wise or flavor wise.

Yeah, I'd never multi-class to Sorcerer if I was a Wizard, simply cause I don't particularly care for the class, and see no point in hampering my spell progression w/ a far less superior class. But I always figured that casting level stacked, for purposes of Item Creation feats. So I take it a 4th level Cleric/ 1st level Wizard couldn't take Craft Magic Arms and Armor. And if not, how about if the cleric had the Spell Domain from FR.

a sorcerer wizard multiclass seams very reasonable in a role playing sense. the character has natural spell casting abilities and then studies wizardry. there should be away to create a charcter that has its first few levels in sorcerer and the rest in wizard that does hamper the over all spellcatign abilities.

the easiest way to deal with this may be to write a PrC where the base class is sorcerer and allow them to multiclass to a "wizard-like" class. It would be much like wizard except maybe they would be allow one spontaneous cast at each level each day. youd have to work it all out to keep it a balanced class but there really should be a way to have a sorcerer become a wizard.
