Munskins/Power gaming - Two weapon fighting feat with two bastard sword

A 5 foot sword comes up to your chin. That's not a bastard sword, it's a greatsword.

According to the PHB 3.5 p. 120 the bastard sword is 5 feet 2 inches and the greatsword is 6 feet.

Not impossible....just some one with (50,335 gp x 2) in disposable income. Should be possible by 15th level (wealth = 200,000gp).

If you're lucky enought to find two maybe, but i dont use many magical shop in my world that you could buy it. I just find very odd the idea of someone who sell sword +4, but again i think i'm not very popular around here about how i'm handling magical item.

Does many of you guys use these kind of item in high level campaign ? I never did that and they still able to kill the most powerful monster in the monster manual and i think i have enought experience as a dm to play these monster well.

So what the point i'm missing ? Do i'm very aliens to don't use mega boost item like this ? I'm starting to think that i'm all wrong since 10 years

Well i guess i'm again completly out of line according to you guys, but in my campaign if you find a feather of solar this will be in the prime material plane ! You won't be able to ask him for his feather, but this an interesting theory to travel in heaven for this.

Using 2 short swords is far more efficient. Just power attack for 2 and you average the same damage a bastard sword with out having to waste a feat on a proficieny.

Better read that feat again.

You are giving this altogether too much thought....

The point of playing this game is to push the boundaries of reality.

Plus, wielding 2 bastard swords is not that crazy...

Now.. try this.

a) Two-weapon Fighting feat.. extra attack
b) Improved Two-weapon Fighting feat.. another extra attack
c) Monkey grip.. wield a two handed weapon in one hand

and 2 +2 mercurial greatswords of speed.

Now THAT is abuse. And perfectly reasonable, to boot.
