Unless you're at least 6th level, it's a +2. Also, for the super-technical, it's more of an energy field surrounding him pushing away attacks than a hardening of his skin -- hardening skin would be a natural armor bonus, and I think shield of faith is deflection.

OOC: You are corect, it's actualy a fairly invisable effect (which is usefull). Just a slight shimmering.

But it's coming from an earth goddess, so it's a fetching basalt sheen...much less fetching now because it's not really visible. But with a high enough Spot check, someone could be fetched.
