My armour hinders my recovery from... Lycanthropy??

A video of me sleeping in my full plate would probably be boring.

I haven't ever slept in it, but I have rested in it. Is it as comfortable as a pair of flannel pajamas? Well, no. But it's nowhere near as bad as people think. It does provide great back support.

It happens that I am a nurse in a surgical recovery unit in a hospital. People successfully heal from serious injuries in outfits much more confining than full plate armour all the time--full-body casts with traction, for instance. I've seen people sleep in positions that that look so uncomfortable that I'd never be able to sleep that way.

Myself, I'd let players take one or two extended rests in their armour with no ill effects. Any more than that, though, and I might start penalizing them by knocking off a healing surge or two. But that's all. Don't go overboard on the penalties. Sleeping in armour is not as bad as you think.

Oh, I wasn't implying a video of it. For one, we can't even be sure it's actually you in the video or that it's even real armor and not just something made out of tin foil. There's a certain amount of implicit trust involved anyway, so I would just take you at your word that you had tried resting in it and that it wasn't that bad.

Your point about the people in traction is far more interesting and something I hadn't thought of before. When you're tired, your body will sleep. When there are things that might otherwise interfere with that, your body has some capability to ignore them. After getting used to them for awhile, you can even ignore being in full traction just fine.

For a Fighter that had been training since the age of 7 or so, I would think then that they would be used to sleeping in armor sometimes. Either while out on field maneuvers, or perhaps because they came home after practice sometimes and just collapsed and fell asleep in their armor. Either way though, I would be that they would have some experience with it, and could at least handle a couple of days cooped up in it. Any more than that is pushing it a bit anyway, because the party should not be spending every night for a week sleeing in the dungeon without getting caught by the patrols.

The only piece of the suit I'm missing in that video is the helmet. I don't think it would decrease my ability to do pushups, cartwheels, and light tumbling in the suit. If you like, I'll try to find time to make another video of me tumbling in full armour, including the helmet, just to satisfy your curiosity.

I tried to find the video but i couldn't. Anyway i had thought you were also missing some chainmail underneath.

Nope. I've got all the mail on underneath. It's even riveted.
