My Avatar is Dead

the Jester

Legend
This morning Maggie, the dog who I use as my avatar, died. She has been getting frailer for a while, and she was starting to suffer. My ex-girlfriend had to put her to sleep. :(

We've known this is coming for a few weeks now, but it finally happened today. I was at work at the time so I couldn't even be there at the time, but I spent a lot of time with her over the last few weeks.

Man, I am tore up. :( I loved that dog- still do- and will miss her tremendously. She was like my kid.

She had a very good life and was surrounded by people that loved her. At least she won't be suffering.

Best dog ever.

I am so sorry. I know how bad it hurts to lose a treasured pet. Three years ago I had to put to sleep my 16 year old dog Simsa, I was a mess.

I have a new dog who I adore but their are times I still really miss Simsa and I always will.

Sorry to hear it. Its tough losing someone close whether human or animal. Just remember the pain is over now.

Been there before. We had a pug named Lord Pugsley the first. Strong for a little dog.

My father kept hair samples of our German Shepard Herman. Not sure what came of those.

Hang in. Chin up.

I'm so sorry, and of course you miss your dog. They are like our kids. We can all just try and remember that at least they don't hurt anymore and for some of us they are in a better place, for others they will live on happily in our memories.

Sorry to hear that. :( I will miss her too, though I barely knew her. My thoughts go out to you and the rest of her family.
