NC Game Day (Dates posted for NCGDVI-VII on top of page 16)

Quick Note

I currently have four unopened unlimited booster packs and box of unopened unlimited starters for INWO. I've been considering donating some as a door prize to the gameday, would people be interested and who do I contact about it? I'm not donating the whole starter box just a couple of starters as well I want some too.

I've spoken to Neal in the last couple of days and the Trinocon element will NOT be doing a raffle this time around like they did at NCGDIII. He did indicate that they would do so in the future and, if I had to guess, this would probably be at NCGDVI.

As a result, you have a few options:

1 - Donate them this time around to be given out for free via random drawing. This won't generate any extra work as I'm already going to be doing a random drawing to give away some HARP books that are being donated by ICE.

2 - Give them to Neal (either this game day or sometime approaching the next one) and allow him to place them in the raffle. This will help generate money for Trinocon if you're interested in doing that.

3 - Give them away at this game day to whoever you want. This could include (as one suggestion) giving them to people who participate in your games, which might help you fill some of the slots.

I'm sure there are other ways you could deal with this but I think the most important fact is that you totally rock for being this generous. If you don't mind me asking, what is "INWO"? I'm badly out of the loop on this kind of thing.

I had to look it up myself - Illuminati: New World Order Card Game. I had almost forgotten about it - it was based on Steve Jackson's illuminati stuff, but (correct me if I'm wrong Gerzel) has been out fo print a while now?

And that is a totally cool offer, Gerze.

Something I just thought of as I had lunch while watching The Weather Channel (I live a life of riveting excitement, do I not?):

With Hurricane Frances barreling in on the southeast coast, it seems not unlikely that we could lose ENWorld to power outages once again sometime over the weekend (this assumes that we here in NC are lucky enough to have it stay to the south). Remember that there are forums over at the Game Day website so that we can stay in touch during such a time.

This is very true. I usually check those forums once a day to see if anyone has written anything.

There is always e-mail through the yahoio group as well.

*Bump* and an update!

I decided not to run a D&D miniatures or Basic D&D game this time 'round, and I went ahead and signed up for an afternoon game, for two reasons:

#1) At the current time, a number of slots are empty in the afternoon games; adding one more game won't help fill currently empty slots.

#2) If there is a sudden demand for more games, I can always pull out of my afternoon game, and create my game anyway! The style would be revolving-door anyway, allowing even more people to play than a traditional event.

On the good side, Belen Umeria will now have a 4th post-apocalyptic survivor to kick around and do mean things to. :) I'm interested to see if we can generate as much fun at this gameday as his crew did at Gameday 3!

wow, I completely forgot about this thread with all the stuff I've been doing!

Rel, you couldn't have captured the exact things we go through practically every other session in my campaign. Just remove the druid, and add a little bit of metagaming magic to the wizard, and it's perfect. :D

wow...what was my original purpose for writing this message...I guess I'll remember in time...

What, a veiled jab at me isn't enough? ;)

Also: is there any interest in the Feng Shui game? If that's a negative, I think it'd be more prudent for me to strike it and sign up as a player for the AM slot.

Jeff, I'm trying to get a couple of Feng Shui Junkies from my local game table to sign up with you, but THEY HAVEN'T YET SIGNED UP FOR THE GAMEDAY SITE. *ahem* I'll remind them this weekend, if they haven't yet already signed up.

Jeph, even if Henry's wayward crew don't sign up, I would think about waiting to pull your game unless you have decided that you'd rather play than GM. History has shown that there is a strong tendency for folks to sign up for lots of games coming into the final couple of weeks, particularly in the final week itself. Unless you think that you'll miss out on a slot in a game you've got your eye on, I would wait until at least a week before Game Day before you pull yours.

Just my 2 coppers.
