Has anybody here ever seen "Boohbah" on PBS? That show is completely wack, perhaps wacker (is that a word?) than the Telletubbies. Regardless, it is keeping my daughter busy long enough to post this message, so it can't be all bad, right?
Anyway, a few quick things:
I'm not sure why the Game Day site is down at the moment but I'm assuming that this is temporary. I do know that Neal has been very busy with work lately and frankly so am I. I've just started a new business and it has predictably taken up huge chunks of my time. But I have managed to arrange a lunch with Neal next Tuesday so we can iron out any last minute issues with the Game Day.
At this point, I'm honestly not sure what to expect. There doesn't seem to have been much in the way of sign ups to run RPGA and board games as there has been in the past. I don't know if the majority of the Trinocon crowd is just going to sit this one out or are simply taking their time in putting their games up. I don't think it really matters much either way. We've still got a nice variety of RPG's up there and there are some board games in the offing.
Two issues that need to be dealt with as soon as possible are the all-important "Where do we eat beforehand?" and "Where do we eat afterwards?" questions. I'm still planning on Errico's for the Friday night get together unless there are big objections. With Game Day only a couple weeks away, I probably need to make the reservation, so please sound off if you're planning on coming.
As far as the "After Dinner", I was going to go with the earlier suggestion that we default back to Rock-Ola with the idea that I let them know in advance to expect a largish group and to phone in an accurate head count on Game Day. Does this sound good to everyone?
And now would be a good time to post any last minute issues that people have that I need to bring up with Neal at our lunch. I know that there are a couple of things that need tweaking on the Game Day site and that will be a topic of conversation. But I also observe that we seem to have gotten past a lot of the learning curve and folks had far fewer problems with registering and signing up to run and play in games than we did last time.
Lastly and personally, anybody who hasn't already read through the Orcz character briefs I posted upthread and expressed a character preference is encouraged to do so. And it might be beneficial to read through the intro that I posted in this thread as well as over at the Game Day site in the forums ("Game Info" is the forum, I think).
Thanks to everyone who is helping to make this happen. If you weren't all so easy to work with, I would never be able to pull this together at such a busy time of my life. Gotta run now. Somebody wants a bowl of Cheerios to snack on while she watches the amorphous minions of Boohbah!
