NC Game Day (Dates posted for NCGDVI-VII on top of page 16)

Ahhh... This time next week I reckon I'll be getting ready to split a few elf skulls.

Good times. :D

And, Rel? Are we going to be getting a sneak peak at our Orcz! characters? I remember little about my guy other than he had a long spear and an anger-management issue. Two great tastes that taste great together!

I remember you sent out the Sky Galleons characters ahead of time, so I thought I ask.

Jon, I probably won't be sending out the PC's ahead of time this go round. This is mainly because I'm doing some last minute tweaking. One thing that I am doing to speed familiarity with them is to put a single paragraph section with their info sheets to give some "Tips and Tactics" that might work well with the PC in question.

And let's just say that this band of Orcs is not the most subtle and nuanced set of characters you'll ever lay eyes on. I suspect the learning curve will be short.

And yes, Henry, I am excited!

I just took a minute to check out the schedule and it looks like most of the games that are up are full to the point of viability. CodeMonkey's Grimm game looks a bit thin but I'll mention it to Speaks With Stone because he was signed up to play in the last Grimm game but couldn't stay.

Paranoia and HARP in the morning still don't have any players at this time. My impression is that Paranoia can be run on pretty short notice so maybe there will be some walk-ins for that one. I do know that the HARP game will have some prizes for some of those who participate, including copies of the game. So if you're curious about that system, here's a great chance to get a copy for free.

If nobody is signed up for your game right now, I still wouldn't panic. Lots of people don't sign up until the last minute. But if Wednesday or Thursday roll around and you still have no players, you might want to consider cancelling and joining another game. I'll be keeping an eye out for any who wish to cancel, so just let me know.

I am full up with my game with someone who has already mentioned that they want to be a walk-on.

I am fairly excited as well. I had hoped to get all the characters done early, but I have a few tweaks as well.

HARP Game

Greetings All!

I am running the HARP game at NC Game Day V this Saturday. I just received the adventure today from Rasyr, the game's designer, and it looks like fun. Without giving away too many details, lets say it involves a very old Cleric of Light, his disturbing dreams, and some Church religious Icons that may or may not be missing...

A range of pregenerated characters to pick from will be provided.

There will indeed be copies of the game given out as prizes. I hope some of you are curious enough to see the system that has pried a 25 year D&D player away from that system and into HARP.

Even if you don't plan on playing, stop by before and after and just say "Hi"...and ask any questions you may have.

Looking forward to it,

TGryph

Citizen! The Paranoia Game is a strictly walk in game. First come first serve.

Folks, I'm going to be out of touch all day tomorrow and into the evening. If anything important crops up that requires an admin at the Game Day site (like a last minute cancellation or something like that), please e-mail Neal.

Thanks.
