NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

The homonculus twists its tiny body around in the air, then swoops away from the jelly, cutting a jagged path through the sky in hopes of confusing its opponent.

OOC: Your entrance into the arena should have stopped at 115N95E, and it costs double movement to ascend to 10Z in your second move. So I have your location at 100N20E10Z.

Round 119:

The jelly moves west to 100N20E10Z, into the homunculus' square. Its tendrils hit (rolled 19) for 1 plus 4 electricity damage. The homunculus has 6 hp left.

Does the homunculus get an AoO on the airjelly?

And since it's already in the same square, can the homunculus attempt to start a grapple without provoking its own AoO? If so, it does. If not, the homunculus simply sinks its fangs into the airjelly's soft, squishy, delicious body.

OOC: AoO's due to movement are caused when a creature leaves a threatened square, not enters it. The homunculus only threatens its own square, and the jelly hasn't left it yet.

The homunculus grabs on the jelly, (rolled 4 vs. -3 Grp check) giving it 1 point of damage. It has 28 hp left.

Round 120: The jelly strikes at the homunculus with its tendrils. (Rolled 18-4 for grapple=14)

1 plus 6 electricity damage. The homunculus is destroyed!

Next up for NE: a wolf skeleton. (MM) It goes next in round 120.

A set of canine bones, dry strips of flesh still clinging to the rips, lopes into the arena and bounds up to the airjelly. It leaps futilely at the floating thing, snapping its jaws in the air.

Round 122: The jelly hits for 2 electricity. The skeleton has 8 hp left.

Round 123: The jelly misses.

Round 124: The jelly hits for 3 electricity. The skeleton has 5 hp left.

Round 125: The jelly hits for 1 electricity. The skeleton has 4 hp left.

Round 126: The jelly misses.

Round 127: The jelly misses.

Round 128: The jelly hits for 2 electricity. The skeleton has 2 hp left.

Round 129: The jelly misses.

Round 130: The jelly hits for 6 electricity. The skeleton is destroyed!

Next up for NE: a shadar-kai. (FF) It goes next in round 130.

A tall, slender humanoid with a mane of straight, white hair steps into the arena. His smooth skin is of a dull gray coloration, marked by swirling runes of crimson tattooed across the flesh of his bare shoulders and back. An iron bracer is worn around each of his forearms, and his face is held steady in an expression of grim determination - or pain. Pupiless eyes, each like a perfectly smooth obsidian, lock onto the airjelly as he pulls taut the string of a ornately carved wooden shortbow. The shadar-kai lets go of the arrow, sending the projectile whizzing through the air towards his foe.
