NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

After a slight delay, a wide-shouldered humanoid finally enters from the Neutral Evil side of the arena. Sunken Boulder's rough, scaly skin is of a dark gray shade, the color of a damp underground cavern. He walks with a distinct hunch; due to this, he stands only about five and a half feet tall. A heavy greataxe is gripped tightly in one of the grimlock's meaty hands, and bands of worn leather are wrapped tightly around his muscular forearms. Sunken Boulder's hair is pulled behind his head and woven into a several dozen thick locks. His most striking feature, however, is a conspicuous lack of eyes; the upper half of his wide face is like a blank slate, completely devoid of any visual organs, or even the sockets that would normally be reserved for them.

Having been warned of his opponent before entering the battlefield, Sunken Boulder creeps into the arena, staying surprisingly quiet for such a clumsy looking creature. He sniffs at the air with a wide nose, seeking to locate his foe. Appearing to have no luck in this endeavor, he slings his axe over his shoulder and jogs along the northern wall.

Sunken Boulder of the Leapers Pack enters the arena at 120N0E, then double-moves to 80N0E. He knows he can't hit the creature as long as its in the air, and is thus taking the advice of his teammates and trying to avoid being detected by the airjelly so as to force a draw.

Round 114

Sunken Boulder of the Leapers Pack enters the arena at 120N0E, then double-moves to 80N0E.

OOC: I assume you mean to enter at 115N0E, then move along the northern wall to 115N40E.

The jelly flies with ease to 60N20E10Z, then turns east. At 60N40E, it suddenly turns north and flies to 115N40E10Z, above the grimlock.

Sensing the pulsating mass above him, Sunken Boulder frowns and, gripping his massive axe tightly in both hands, run out from under the , scaly gray feet pounding heavily into the dirt.

Taking a run action to move 120 feet to 0N40E, out of the range of the airjelly's blindsight.

Round 115

The jelly hits with the AoO. (Rolled 25) SB takes 1 plus 2 electricity damage. He has 8 hp left.

The jelly follows SB's path to 60N40E10Z, then flies to 0N40E10Z.

Are there any walls on the east and west sides of the arena, such that the grimlock can get a +5 to Climb for a perpendicular surface to brace against? If so, then Sunken Boulder runs to the nearest corner and begins to climb. If not, he throws his greataxe at the airjelly and moves to pick it up.

Round 116

OOC: No, there are no walls on the east and west side.

The jelly hits with the AoO. (Rolled 21) 1 plus 6 electricity damage. The grimlock has 1 hp left.

The axe misses miserably. (Rolled 6-4 for improvised weapon = 2) It lands at 10N30E, where the grimlock goes to pick it up.

The jelly follows and misses. (Rolled 12)

Round 117: The grimlock picks up the axe. The jelly hits with the AoO for 1 plus 4 electricity.
The grimlock is dying. The jelly stays at 10N30E10Z and CDG's the grimlock for 1 plus 2 electricity. The grimlock dies.

Next up for NE: a homunculus. (MM) It goes next in round 117.

Ah, thank you. Something that can at least attack the accursed ooze. However, I'd like to know if it's possible to Hide from a creature with Blindsight. The homunculus has a +14 to Hide, so I'd like to at least try to take advantage of that.

OOC: Hide counters Spot, and the jelly doesn't need to make spot checks to "see". So no, Hide is not effective against blindsight.

Didn't think so. Okay, the homunculus, a gangly little fellow who looks as though he was formed of smooth, red clay flutters into the arena on two black-feathered wings. He has two large amber eyes set low on a wide, ovoid face. He takes off and flies to 115N100E, facing east.
