Next up in round 188: a corrupted wolf! (BoVD)

Goodness gracious...
What's with all these dogs?

A strange, eerie howl again erupts from the eastern side of the arena, immediately followed by a sight even more chilling. The creature that emerges from the misty darkness, displaying obvious lupine blood, is a twisted conglomerate of muscle, fangs, and fur. A head too large for the thing's body sports bloodshot eyes that spark with madness. Its snout is bared into perpetual snarl, revealing a mouth full of large and uneven fangs and a swollen tongue, forked like that of a serpent. Disproportionately large masses of muscular tissue ripple and distort hideously as they power the seemingly ungainly beast rapidly towards the jackal.

Charge attack. If it hits, it will, of course, attempt a trip.

The wolf bites the jackal for 6, but is unable to trip it. The jackal has 2 hp left.

Round 189: The jackal bites for 6 and fails to trip the wolf. The wolf has 11 hp left.

The wolf heals to 12 hp and bites for 7. The jackal is dying.

Round 190: A one-humped camel charges to 60N40E and kicks the wolf for 6. The wolf has 6 hp left.
