NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

The worg charges into the arena, toothy maw dripping globs of drool as it lopes hungrily towards the bat.

Charge! And a trip, if the bite hits.

The worg charges to 95N75E and sinks his teeth into the bat. (Rolled 24+2) 7 points of damage and the wolf pulls on the bat's wing, forcing it to land. (Rolled 19 vs. 13 trip) The bat has 15 hp left.

Round 219: The bat hovers back up to 95N80E5Z and bites back. (Rolled 20+1) 7 points of damage and the bat upends the worg! (Rolled 5 vs. 4 trip) The worg has 23 hp left and is prone.

OOC: I am using the RotG article you linked to above to make a ruling, which says that the fllying creature stalls instead of being knocked prone. I intrepeted a stall from 5 feet as a soft landing, but I think you're right, it should be an uncontrolled fall where the bat ends up prone and takes 1d3 points of damage. But then I should also apply the +8 trip modifier for the bat for being a good flier, so the bat was never tripped in the first place.

The bat bites for 9 with the AoO. (Rolled 26+5) The worg misses (rolled 9) and has 14 hp left.

Round 220: The bat bites for another 9. (Rolled 29+1) The worg has 5 hp and is tripped again (rolled 17 vs. 13).

The bat bites with the AoO for 5. (Rolled 13+5) The worg misses with its dying blow. (Rolled 12)

Round 221: The bat CDG's the wolf for 12. It is hovering at 95N80E5Z.

Next up for NE: an owlbear skeleton. (MM)

A huge, skeletal creature clatters into the arena, bony talons digging into the soft earth. The thing's bleached-bone form is similar (in both size and shape) to that of a bear, though it walks upright. Its skull is only half-present; the portion above the eyeline apparently having shattered and fallen away entirely, revealing a brain case caked with dry, black matter. Below the jagged edge of the skull, however, lies a wicked hooked beak, like that of a raptor, perfect for ripping through the flesh of the creature's prey. Likewise, its long, thick arms "bear" ursine claws, still sharp as daggers. The skeleton stares eyelessly across the arena as it silently charges towards the bat.

Next up for NE in round 228: a bugbear zombie. (MM)
