A revolting creature that looks like it could be the illegitimate love-child of a spider and a tubby human lurches into the arena on spindly, two-clawed legs. Its flesh is a mottled dark purple, and its underside and bulbous stomach are ivory, criss-crossed with a network of vibrantly blue veins. A spider's head is connected almost directly to the thing's trunk, with not much in the way of neck, and it boasts a vicious set of venomous fangs. Ignoring his opponent, Peter rapidly spins and throws out a sheet of nearly invisible strands of web.

It'll be a triangle extending perpendicularly from 30 feet east and 30 feet up on the south wall 40 feet out.

Peter will be located at 0n25e (the web is right next to him to the east at 30e, right?). Can an ettercap automatically climb it's web or does it need a climb check? I know that Peter's chances of climbing the wall are not particularly good, so if he can auto-climb his own web, he'll spin some more web behind him, covering the wall, and then climb up 15ft. If he can't auto-climb his own web, he'll try to climb up 15ft and then ready to web his opponent when it comes to within 30ft (if it appears to bypass the previous web in place -- please note the spot check required).

We're not technically supposed to know this, but the energon's incorporeal. I just built the web to create a facade of fair play. And so there'll be something fun for the next combatants. Thus, on the turn following Peter's realization of this (when the thing passes harmlessly through his web), he will attempt to flee in any way possible, using a move action to get as far from the energon as he can, then readying an action to take another movement away when the energon gets within 15 feet.
