Round 459

A large powerful horse with a jet-black coat and flaming hooves moves to 60N30E and blows a 15 cone of smoke from his nostrils, filling the area directly ahead of him and obscuring his location.

Round 460

The horse comes out of the smoke and arrives at 60N50E. The rhino gores for 20+1 for earth mastery (rolled 32+1). The horse has 24 hp left.

The horse connects with a hoof for 8-5=3 plus 2 fire. The rhino has 71 hp. Then more smoke is generated in a 15 cone in front of the horse. Fortunately the rhino can't choke on the smoke since it doesn't breathe.

The previous smoke dissipates.

The rhino jabs his horn into the horse's chest, lifting it off the ground and tossing it to the east behind him. He shakes off the nightmare's ichor and paws at the ground, waiting for the next NE combatant.

Round 461

Very descriptive, but the horse survives. Unless the rhino has a special snatch feat I don't know about.

The horse is gored for 19+1 points of damage and has 4 hp left.

The horse clubs the rhino with a hoof for 11-5 plus 3 fire. The rhino has 62 hp. More smoke replaces the smoke that dissipates.

Round 462: The rhino gores for another 20, then pulls the maneuver you were describing with the dead horse.

Next for NE in round 462: a pyroclastic dragon wyrmling. (Draconomicon)

Uh-oh for rhino.

Talk about beating a dead horse.

The pyroclastic dragon has maximum ranks in the skills Diplomacy, Knowledge (architecture), Listen, Search, Spot, and Use Magic Device.

It has the feats Blind-Fight, Weapon Finesse (bite), and Wingover.

A solidly-built, obsidian dragon with ash-like wings flies into the arena at 0n and gains altitude, ending up at 5n40e40z, heading north.
[sblock]Please remind me about the dragon's size and speed/maneuvarability. I remember the other abilities. Boy, do I remember them.[/sblock]

Round 463

The rhinoceros sinks into the ground without moving so much as a pebble.

[SBlock]The dragon's modes of movement and speed are as follows:

60 ft.; fly 100 ft. (poor); climb 40 ft.; burrow 45 ft.

Sorry, but no swim nor brachiation movement.[/SBlock]
