Need help playing a character who is not as smart as yourself?

I have found a method that works for me. I drink a number of beers inversely proportional to my
character's intelligence score. Does anyone else do something similar?

The problem with this technique is that your charisma increases as you drink more beers.

I had one player who became the ultimate roleplaying after a quarter a bottle of JDs. And he normally had a half.

So he was a dumb but charismatic mage/thief ... now that was scary.

If you drink tequilas instead, you also gain DR.

the only problem with this method is that after a couple beers, you tend not to mark down your hits and stuff, so in game- you have the most massive regeneration ever, or DR, whatever it is. and you always make your saves,a nd you always roll a 20... maybe cause you cant see anynmore...
